CIMA & his new unit spoke before the opener. CIMA introduced the 7 members. This is the first time since the original Veteran Army that he has helped create a new unit. Himself, Gamma, and also Don Fujii were the oldest generation. Ishida & Yamamura were the newest. With that fact in mind, they are considering their unit name, logo, and theme song. The only thing that CIMA thinks is set is all members wearing capes ala El Lindaman in their own personal keynote colors. He also brought up their losing streak. Since their formation, they have lost all their matches. Tonight they had 2 more matches and would fight their best to gain their first win.

VERZERK took over the ring after the second match. Doi took pity on the fans for having to sit through such an insignificant bout. He called out DK & Flamita for a confrontation in advance of the main event. He admitted that DK & Flamita got the best of them in the tag league. That’s fine. They earned this title match. However, circumstances were different now. They knew DK was still injured. That makes him easy prey. DK insisted that he was fully healed. Furthermore, he & Flamita have devised a foolproof battleplan. Doi brought up them having to communicate in Spanish. While DK was good at it, it wasn’t fluent. DK proved him wrong. “Yo soy Dragon Kid. Tu eres Flamita. Me gusta yakiniku.” Doi laughed it off. Even here in Japan anyone could understand that. He asked Flamita to say something. He replied in Kansaiben that he loved Kobe and they were going to become champions tonight. Doi was once again flustered and wondered who the hell taught him that. DK said that after they win the titles, Flamita would handle the closing speech. In Japanese.

Kotoka helped Tanizaki attack Tozawa with chairs before their match began. He interfered liberally in the brief match that followed, giving Tanizaki an exceedingly tainted victory. Tanizaki mockingly thanked Tozawa for accepting the brunt of his rekindled rage. Kotoka had said something to him earlier that he really liked the sound of. The Brave Gate title belt would sure look great around Kotokas’ waist. Kotoka started with his usual “Yep yep yep bleehhhhhhhh!” spiel but got kicked by Tozawa. What did they think they were doing? Don’t they know how important his matches are? Many people love to see him fight. He didn’t even get to say “Too Easy!” or “Brainbuster!” or anything. What did they hope to accomplish. Tanizaki said it should be obvious. He & Kotoka wanted a title match. Tozawa blew off the idea of giving two jobbers like them a title shot. Besides, the Brave Gate is a singles title. If they wanted a fight, he would take them out individually. Tanizaki wasn’t talking about a handicap match. He meant a three way. Unless the so-called permanent champion was scared? 1 on 1 on 1. Tozawa once again insisted on a singles match. Tanizaki lamented the state of the Brave Gate if such a chickenshit was champion. Tozawa finally accepted. 1 on 1. 1 on 2. Cheating. Whatever. Bring it on. They had a match. He set the place. 11/01 in Osaka at GATE OF DESTINY.

Takagi brutalized Hulks’ shoulder until Mochizuki threw in towel.
Takagi ripped into Hulk after. Awwww, did the poor baby have an injured shoulder? Did it hurt? Too fucking bad. What a pathetic piece of shit this guy was. He was even more fragile and broken down than the veterans. This guy was supposed to be his greatest generational rival? What a joke. He should give it up. In fact, he would help Hulk by finishing him off once and for all here. He went to hit him with a chair, but Mochizuki made the save.
Enough. The match is over. Injuries are fair game during the match but what kind of champion goes after injured opponents after the match ends? Show a little mercy.
Mercy? Takagi never heard that word before. Why was this old bastard sticking his nose into this anyway? It was between him and Hulk, it didn’t concern him.
Maybe not. But what did concern him was all the shit Takagi talked back in Hakata. Did he forget everything he said about the veterans?
No. He didn’t forget. So what was the oldest bastard planning on doing about it?
Whatever shut Takagi up, but he did have something in particular in mind. Inspired by Fujii two weeks ago, he wanted a Dream Gate title match. At that time, he was only 50% sure. But now he was 120% sure. The match was set for Osaka.

Saito addressed the fans after the Jimmyz win. They were the oldest unit in the company, but with the addition of Kness they felt like a new team. The adjustment period was over, they were done with being in the background. It was time to show just how much power the changes have infused into the unit. They wanted a Triangle Gate shot. After all, CIMA & Co. didn’t need them now that they were focusing on their unit with the rookies.
CIMA quickly replied that if they didn’t need the titles they would just vacate them right here. Saito, not realizing this was said in jest, was upset. CIMA made fun of him for it. The opposite was true. Seeing their elder teammates continually defend the titles would only serve to light a fire under the youngsters. As for the challenge, he didn’t particularly want to give them a shot. But, their team has lost 10 consecutive matches since formation. It was time to reverse that streak. What better way to do it than by fending off the Jimmyz challenge in Mr. Don Fujiis’ home turf in Osaka? The match was set for GATE OF DESTINY.

Yoshino & T-Hawk came out after the main event. It was payback for the VERZERK run in after their match earlier. They had nothing to do with what was going on, so they let it go. Now that the title match was out of the way, it was time to address that situation. T-Hawk said there was no sense beating around the bush. All the other title matches were decided for Osaka. Only the Twin Gate remained. Yoshino & T-Hawk wanted it.
Seriously? The same MONSTER EXPRESS that lost almost all it’s strength when Takagi left? The same MONSTER EXPRESS that added T-Hawk to absolutely no fanfare? The same tag team that has no accomplishments to speak of? Nope.
Yoshino admitted Doi was right. They have been unremarkable recently. But, taking the Twin Gate would be something to boast about. Perhaps Doi is scared of being the footnote in the first new MONSTER EXPRESS accomplishment.
As is always the case when being accused of being scared, Doi said he runs from no one. The setting is appropriate in Osaka, so sure. They can have their title match.

YAMATO closed things out with the rare heel closing speech. He & Doi sure were the coolest & sexiest today, weren’t they? They were the strongest Twin Gate champion team in history. Look forward to their next defense in Osaka.
