Joel & I return with the first of our planned Dragon System timeline podcasts. This episode coincides with the 11th anniversary of me running my various Toryumon/Dragon Gate related websites, so it is some nice timing.
We talk the current events for the first 15 to 20 minutes, recapping the 11/19 Osaka show & it's fallout, and we look ahead to FINAL GATE a bit.
From there, we go back to 1997 and discuss the origins of the Ultimo Dragon Gym and how the first first class came to join. We cover their move to WCW and Michinoku Pro, onto the debut of Toryumon Japan. Finally, we look in depth at the first year and a half of the company, and all the important moments and matches from the Seikigun vs. Crazy MAX era.
