*V6 for Doi

Hulk appealed to be the next challenger to Doi. Within the same segment, Doi called out the veteran tier of DG. Mochizuki, CIMA, Fujii, etc; and said it was the era of his generation and they were no longer needed. Mochizuki took exception to this. I would expect Mochi vs. Hulk as the standard hurdle match to the next Dream match. Presumably for Osaka 1st next month.

RH, Ryo in particular, went after Yoshino and his hair after the semi. Dragon Kid saved, and appealed to Yoshino to team with him for revenge on Ryo and Tokyo Gurentai for their attacks on his mask. So in Osaka it will be Kid/Yoshino vs. Ryo and MAZADA ....

October 21 2009 - Jun Ogawauchi
I have been relegating Secret Base talk to Twitter blurbs, but this one is main page worthy.

I'm sure most of you remember Jun Ogawauchi, most recently of El Dorado & Secret Base ring announcing fame. He was a T2P graduate, and was the final Crazy MAX member back in 2003, competing as JUN. He was forced into a very premature retirement in early 2004. He chose to not remain with Toryumon afterwards, and never graced the Dragon Gate ring.

He reappeared in 2005 for the dragondoor project, but only as a ring announcer. He continued in El Dorado, usually under a pirate motif. He has been ring announcer for Secret Base since their inception.

Until yesterday.

Secret Base made their first steps outside of the tiny Isami Wrestle Arena, and held a show in Shin-Kiba 1st RING. Jun made a return to the ring in match 4, teaming with Toryumon system dropout Masa Takanashi to face T2P graduate Kinya Oyanagei and Toryumon Mexico product Satoshi Kajiwara. Takanashis' partner was originally scheduled to be a masked character called "Kuro Shachi", that was sadly not at all related to the long lost Black Shachihoko Machines. Kinya pinned Jun to win the match.

So, looks like one of the more unfortunate stories from Toryumon lore could have a new chapter. Just as I was thinking today that Yasushi Kanda has now been back nearly as long as he was retired. Whether this is a full time return or a one off, I don't know yet.

But, Dragon Gate dropout/El Dorado/Secret Base youngster Go has set his targets on Jun. He hoped he could face the man once called JUN, but would take a match with the current Jun Ogawauchi, and if Jun didn't want the match to be completely one sided he should get to training.

7. Ryo Saito, Kenichiro Arai{W}, Yasushi Kanda, Genki Horiguchi, Cyber Kong (6:53 Blue Box Attack) Shingo Takagi, YAMATO, Dragon Kid{L}, El Generico

Messy title match. Things progressed to the point that Araken hit the Firebird Splash on YAMATO. Kanda hit Araken with the blue box, seemingly intentionally. Araken ended up caught in YAMATOs' sleeper hold, RH invaded, causing the DQ.

Araken went to hit Kanda after, but instead hit Shingo, revealing it to all be a ruse, or .. whatever. The impromptu 5 vs. 4 match came from that, with yet another blue box finish. So the title match went to a DQ finish, ignoring the stipulation set, and local hero Dragon Kid lost two falls in one night. All around a great night in Nagoya for fans.

Shingo challenged Araken to a hardcore match, whether this is singles or another tag I don't know. This is the second straight match between the two teams that has had RH getting themselves DQ'd on purpose, so a tag would make sense.

There was also a bicycle race event today.

*W1 fail in V3, Chou-Zetsurins become the 25th Champions

Gamma & KAGETORA came out after the title change, and challenged. Gamma said their partner was someone who held a grudge against Chou-Zetsurins. Mochi asked for a hint, and all Gamma stated was that it was someone who knew how to beat them. So .... it's Magnitude Kishiwada, right? The match seems to be taking place on the next Korakuen, on 11/6.

Kotoka was introduced to the fans as the new WORLD-1 member. He swore to pin CyKong in his match, but ..... yeah.

Not much else of note, Mori appeared his in Turbo costume, but did not show off any new hero-like super powers as of yet.

5. Naruki Doi, Koji Kanemoto{W} (25:11 Ankle Hold) YAMATO, Akira Tozawa{L}

Shiiba joined WORLD-1 after the opener, as expected/hoped. He will just be going by Kotoka (琴香) as his ring name now. Doi said having a Shiiba was too close to CIMA and it would be confusing to have both .....

Match 2 is confusing. Yoshino did indeed appear as YOSSINO, but required a wig. Standard match 2 comedy ensued, and when YOSSINO applied the Sol Naciente to Johnson, Syachi swapped their mask & wig respectively. The ref saw the hair and mask and awarded the win to Johnson .................

Shenlong appeared in strong style short black tights .....

Kanemoto mentioned that on the next W1 show, should there be one, he wants YAMATO in a singles match.

RH attacked the Turbo heroes after their match. They were saved by a new pink coloured hero, Anthony Turbo. Mori. Early indications point to a 6 man between an RH team and the 3 heroes for the November Osaka PPV.

NOSAWA missed the show due to an illness, so match 4 was turned into a singles match. That then spilled into match 5 which became a handicap match, with both Shisas and MAZADA involved.

After the main, Doi attempted to talk Yoshino into becoming YOSSINO for the W1 show comedy match. He still hasn't agreed.

October 02 2009 - More October lineups
Looks like El Generico will be aligning with KAMIKAZE. Since his last affiliation was Tozawajuku, it sorta makes sense, I guess, following Tozawa and Iwasa.

Don Fujii and K-ness will have to miss the 10/10 show for unknown reasons. Thankfully Turboyan and Turboness were available to replace them.

Not so thankfully, Tokyo Gurentai were also available for the show.

September 27 2009 - Huge October Lineup Post
Including the complete WORLD-1 lineup, which has shaped up to be pretty interesting. YAMATO appealed to be put in the main event vs. the Doi & Kanemoto team, so he and Tozawa got the match. Underneath, Hulk & Yoshino will face former short-lived W1 assistants Shinobu & Madoka. Kazuchika Okada, arguably the last product of any worth from Toryumon Mexico, will make his first appearance in a DG ring. He will be face Shenlong in a 50 Match series entry. Okada debuted in Mexico after the DG split occurred, making him the first from that class to appear for DG. Bear Fukuda also makes his first appearance, teaming with his Toryumon X peer Tanizaki. Yoshino still hasn't agreed to return to his Italian Connection character for the 3 way match, but I get the feeling it will happen. For the opener, personally I hope it leads to Shiiba joining W1.

The next Triangle Gate defense was announced. Despite WARRIORS-5 winning in the non-title match back on 9/12, it will be Chou-Zetsurins getting another shot, on 10/14 in Korakuen.
