Tominaga joined the Dragon Gate system in early 2006. He has a martial arts background, specializing in jiu-jitsu & traditional
karate. His development was slow, and he spent many years as a trainee
without ever making an in ring appearance. He became a bit of a celebrity to
the DG fan base, with his work in the Body Adapt store and frequent
appearances on blogs, particularly Shingo Takagi's. This earned him the
nickname "The most famous trainee in Japan". He would occasionally reach the
exhibition match stage of his career, but inevitably he would
disappear back to the trainee phase. He finally made his official debut on a Buyuden show in September of 2011, over five years after his enrollment into
the system. He gained a major career break in November 2011, when his name
was entered into a Doi Darts event. His slot was hit, and he was a part of a
Triangle Gate challenger team. He competed in the title match, only 9
matches into his career. It was a losing effort, but the fans in attendance
were solidly behind the "rookie phenom". He asked Shingo & YAMATO
to fight with him, and they eventually returned the invitation, starting -akatsuki-.
